ABSTRACT

Most of the Dinoyo ceramic craftsmen's market share is wedding souvenirs and hotel necessities. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused hotels to close and activities for wedding celebrations to be restricted, so that this condition influences decreasing demand for ceramic souvenir orders. This study aims to diversify the products of ceramic craftsmen in Dinoyo Malang, East Java. Dinoyo's ceramic crafts are combined with bamboo as a lampshade product to complement interior decoration. The lampshade product is expected to add to the product variants produced by craftsmen. The shape exploration method is used in this experimental research. Data collection was carried out by observing ceramic and bamboo craftsmen in Malang, studying literature and brainstorming ideas. The results of the data obtained are used to explore ceramic products with a combination of bamboo that can be produced by local craftsmen. The development of dinoyo ceramic products as a lampshade with a combination of bamboo materials is expected to be a new opportunity for the sustainability of its business. © 2023 Author(s).

ABSTRACT

Since the last decade, prior to the emergence of COVID-19, the incidence of pneumonia, pneumonia in Indonesia has steadily increased (Minister of Health RI, 2020) along with deforestation phenomenon (Adhyaksa et al, 2019) and global warming (Mirsaeidi et al, 2016). Forest recovery ecosystem is a must to negate this disease. This research was conducted on determining the economic value of the ecosystem service to compensate reforestation program. This research was conducted in Lampung Province started from May to October 2021, by utilizing of Landsat imagery series of 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2019 for detecting forest covers. The effect on the incidence of pneumonia was determined using multiple linear regression models and to make some simulations work for estimating the reforestation costs. The results prove that the increasement air temperature, and the changes area of state forests, people's forests, bare land, plantations, and urban areas affect the incidence of pneumonia significantly. The determination of the value of environmental services for public costs is required at IDR 942,227,915,- from the maintenance cost of IDR 249,216,000, the cost of reforestation at the state forest area of 5,907,792 Ha and the people's forest of 6,040,689 Ha in case the air temperature increase up to 2 degrees C as the way to mitigate the global warming.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 outbreak has affected several aspects of field-based learning. The best way to ensure the survival and safety of everyone involved in field-based learning is to adapt and integrate technology. In response to this problem, numerous innovations in learning technology that lead to the virtualization of the learning environment have begun to emerge. However, the various application products developed have fallen short of the expectations of students. As a result, in order to design the optimal virtual application for use in fieldbased learning, a needs analysis must be done. This study offers an understanding of student needs for virtual field-based learning applications. An online survey of 140 active university students was carried out to do so. The results showed that students require applications with sophisticated features that resemble the real world for the implementation of online field-based learning. They expect the incorporation of online meeting features, 360 Virtual Reality Panorama, access to learning videos, augmented reality, learning materials, chatbox, and multimedia into the software that will be developed. © 2022. ABSTRACT

This study of dissemination of GOOPI (Game Open Online Physics Instructional) on page https://goopi.id/ (use UC browser) to sparking innovation in education. The method of the study is the Interactive Lecture Demonstration (ILD) approach, the ILD stages are carried out with three stages of activities, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Dissemination with training for physics teachers who are members of the Physics Subject Teacher Meeting (PSTM) from a province in the west of Indonesia and Malaysian Teacher Association. The participants of this dissemination were 120 physics teachers for the first meeting and 86 teachers for a second meeting with GOOPI. The results of the study in the form of this dissemination were obtained information that physics teachers experienced in accessing and developing physics learning media. The results of the questionnaire responses to GOOPI with average 2,90 very good category of dissemination obtained information that GOOPI is effective for media for learning physics during the Covid-19 epidemic. The suggestion in this study is that dissemination training should be done frequently in order can provide skills or expertise that are not too complicated but are widely applied and needed by physics teachers. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. ABSTRACT

Indonesian official team for handling COVID-19 stated that from total 358,659 tested people, 42,762 of them are confirmed to be positive COVID-19, approximately 11.7% from total tested people and continues to increase every day. Therefore, wearing a mask becomes a new habit to adapt new normal life, in order to prevent COVID-19 virus spread in Indonesia. It is important for everyone to wear a mask especially in public places with high intense of human interaction. Public area managers need to monitor and ensure everyone is wearing mask properly. To do a better public places monitoring, this work proposes a deep-learning based image classification model to detect whether a person is wearing a mask or not wearing a mask in real-time condition. Proposed architecture is using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to learn from annotated private dataset to match the Indonesian characteristics. Result gives 97% accuracy for classifying face. © 2020 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impacted societies in many sectors, including education sector. One of the effects is that teaching and learning activities cannot be done in campus, thus Teacher Professional Education or PPG (Pendidikan Profesi Guru) that used to be conducted in campus, should be carried out online by using LMS (Learning Management System) called SIM PKB. The problem is that the students are not familiar with the LMS used, which cause most of them to experience technical problems in the process of the digital learning. This condition requires the class administrators to guide them in using the LMS. This article discusses the use of a screen recorder application to guide PPG students’ learning. This research was conducted by observing the digital learning activities of PPG students in SIM PKB LMS before and after watching a video tutorial made using screen recorder application. The results show that the use of screen recorder is effective in helping class administrators to guide the students in operating the LMS. Before the video tutorial was published, there was a virtual meeting with the same objective. However, still, there were so many inquiries about particular functions in the LMS. After the video tutorial was given to the students, there was no more complain regarding technical problems, because the video tutorials can be played repeatedly. Once the video downloaded, the students can play it despite their unstable internet connections. In this case, screen recorders can also save more on the internet quota consumption. © 2021.
